BFC participates in the 23rd Annual Agricultural & Trade show

BFC was one of the exhibitors at the 23rd Source of the Nile National Agricultural & Trade Show which took place at Jinja show ground from 6th – 13th July 2015. It was organized by the Uganda National Farmers’ Federation under the theme "Climate Smart Agriculture for Sustainable Food Security and Wealth Creation". The show sets a platform for displaying and identifying innovations made by local and foreign companies through improved technologies for better production, marketing and poverty eradication.

BFC’s main objective for participation was to increase awareness of the company’s forest products and enhance recognition of its brand. The exhibition aimed at distinguishing the company from its competitors, getting new ideas about potential products, looking for new market and gathering info on how to improve on the existing market.

The products exhibited included poles, timber, fencing posts, lump charcoal and briquettes. All products including carbon credits were inquired about. A number of charcoal bags were sold since the price was much cheaper than that of the local charcoal at the moment which goes for 50,000/= per bag.

In conclusion, the exhibition was a success and the team is following up on potential clients/customers to convert the prospects into sales.
