Forest Operations Manager

  • Be in possession of a suitable Masters qualification in Forestry/Agriculture.
  • Have a minimum of 5 years of experience as a Senior Forestry Manager.
  • Have suitable and verifiable exposure to modern International forestry and sawmilling operations specifically in East and Southern Africa.
  • Have suitable exposure to mechanized harvesting operations.
  • Have suitable exposure to modern fire protection and suppression methods
  • Ability to work in remote places without supervision.
  • Be fully consummate with the requirements of responsible forest management standards, ISO, SPGS or relevant international certification standards.
  • Be eligible to work in Uganda and a keen team player
  • Be in possession of a valid driving permit/license.

  • Minimum of a Diploma/ degree or its equivalent.
  • Supervisory experience in industrial & electrical engineering.
  • Excellent leadership skills
  • Ability to work in a highly demanding environment.
  • Ability to communicate technical information to non-technical audiences.
  • Ability to plan resources and activities in order to ensure timely and efficient service delivery.

Maintenance Technician

  • Be certified in hydraulic system maintenance.
  • Be certified in diesel mechanics
  • Be certified in auto electrical maintenance.
  • Have experience of working in heavy duty agricultural / forestry machines, generators, heavy duty trucks and general light duty vehicles.
  • Have a valid driver’s license.
  • Have in depth knowledge of service and maintenance schedules.
  • Ability to work independently and reliably without supervision.
