BFC distributes seedlings to community members for own planting

As part of its corporate social responsibility Green Resources each year distributes free seedlings to communities surrounding the project area. This aims at promoting tree planting in institutions and communities as a source of income and other purposes like firewood. In April 2016, 30,000 seedlings were successfully distributed. The species distributed was Pinnus carribea. 15 villages benefited.  Of the  institutions which benefited  included Agwata Sub county, Tetugo Primary school, Adok Primary School and Adok Health center Par Pi Anyim youth group and  Amunamun tree planters  association.

This year, besides sensitizing communities on tree planting, tree planters are being encouraged to make and use energy saving cook stoves to promote efficient use of less fuel wood. BFC has been distributing seedlings over the years records of which is shown in the table below.
