BFC Commissions Two (2) Community Boreholes
In a function held on 25th July 2019, Busoga Forestry Company Ltd (BFC) commissioned and handed over two (2) boreholes to the water users committees in Lukindu and Mbirabira village. The boreholes construction was fully financed by BFC as a response to the communities outcry for water points in the two villages.
We are gathered here today to specifically thank the company for the water project implemented in our area and specifically the MD. This followed our cry for a water point due to the then water stress in the village of Lukindu. We commit our support to the company and request that more development projects be supported as we remain your babies. Oketcho Samuel, LCI Chairman, Lukindu A village, Bukatube sub-county Mayuge district.
In his remarks, the Managing Director - BFC, Mr John Ferguson re-echoed the companys commitment to support community development based on the need of the communities within the companys community development budget to attain social benefits as we as a company grow together with the communities surrounding our areas of operation.
