Busoga Forestry Company Ltd named Best Employer in Jinja

On October 21, 2015, the National Social Security Fund (NSSF) held its 3rd Annual Members Meeting (AMM) at Kampala Serena Hotel. The event that attracted up to 700 attendants, including NSSF contributors, employers, workers unions' representatives, government representatives and members of the public was held under the theme “Transparency & Accountability”.

The National Social Security Fund (NSSF) outlined four key strategic imperatives that will enable the Fund size to grow by fourfold from the current shs5.8 trillion to shs20 trillion by 2025 in an effort to retain and return better value to its members.

"The strategy that will deliver the customer experience will be based on; building a strong financial base so we can secure a better life for our members, innovating and becoming more relevant to our member, excelling on business processes that touch our members and making NSSF a delightful place to work for our staff so they can serve our members better," said Richard Byarugaba, NSSF Managing Director, at the Annual Members Meeting on Wednesday.

At the meeting, NSSF also recognized and awarded the most compliant employers (in paying their employees’ contributions) through the Employer Compliance Awards. Up to 25 institutions and companies were awarded in different categories including the best employer per branch across the Fund’s 19 branches. Busoga Forestry Company (BFC) Ltd was awarded the “Best Employer” award for the Jinja Branch.
